Grand Monadnock Youth Choirs will be presenting an inspirational choral music performance, “We Are One – Music From Our World,” under the direction of Artistic Director Esther Rhoades on Saturday, May 13, at 3 p.m. at Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church, 25 Main St., Peterborough

The choirs will also perform Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. at Congregation AhavasAchim, 84 Hastings Ave., Keene.

Three of GMYC’s ensembles, Elm City Singers, Choristers and Cecilia Ensemble, will present a concert of world unity drawing from musical traditions from Germany, Kenya, Japan, Spain, Brazil, Ireland, and the United States.

The Elm City Singers and Choristers were invited to participate in the Einbeck Choral Exchange with Keene State College, and to have performed a Dutch folk song, and an American gospel-style song for the German choir.

The Cecilia Ensemble traveled to Spain on their first international concert tour since the onset of COVID-19. The choir performed formally for audiences in Madrid, Segovia and Barcelona, and informally in city squares, street corners, museums, churches and cathedrals, restaurants, hotels, airports and other locations.

Sunday’s performance will feature a senior recognition, honoring each graduating senior with a gift and some singing.

Tickets may be purchased online at the Grand Monadnock Youth Choirs website or at the door. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 18 and free for children 4 and under. Cash and checks will be accepted at the door.
