Ingalls Memorial Library, located at 203 Main St. in Rindge, has started a weekly Loop Group inspired by the book “In the Loop: Radical Potholder Patterns & Techniques” by Deborah Jean Cohen and others.
Each Friday, crafters gather to create potholders. Library Director Donna Straitiff said she had the idea after a show-and-tell program in December when one of the participants brought a potholder loom. The library has both traditional and professional-size looms available to borrow, courtesy of Harrisville Designs in Harrisville.
The Loop Group meets in the Young Adult room at the library from 10 a.m. to noon each Friday. People can bring their own supplies, or borrow a kit from the library. The program is open to all ages.
