Wilton Public & Gregg Free Library, 7 Forest Road in Wilton, will hold a beekeeping seminar with Kathy Balestrier Wednesday, April 19.
Balestrier works full-time at The Colony. She has been a backyard beekeeper for years and most recently obtained her master beekeeper certification from the University of Montana. She is the current president of the Essex County Beekeepers Association, serves on the board of directors for the Boston Area Beekeepers Association and belongs to several beekeeping clubs and organizations.
This program is designed for individuals interested in starting this hobby, as well as for seasoned beekeepers looking for more information. Participants will learn the latest techniques of beekeeping and how to keep honeybees.
