On Friday, March 31, at 11 am, the Peterborough Town Library Book Club will be discussing the thriller “Dead by Dawn” by author and Edgar Award nominee Paul Doiron.

In “Dead by Dawn”, the 12th book of the series, Maine game warden Mike Bowditch finds himself in a life-or-death chase.  Sent to investigate a suspicious drowning, he finds himself being chased by unknown armed assailants. What began as an investigation turns into a fight for his survival.

“Dead by Dawn” won the New England Society’s 2022 Book Award for Fiction, as well as Doiron’s second Maine Literary Award.

The book club meets on the last Friday of the month at 11 a.m. Members read both fiction and nonfiction, and all are welcome to the discussions.

Along with Hancock Town Library, James A. Tuttle Library of Antrim and G.E.P. Dodge Library of Bennington, the library will host Doiron on April 15 at 2 p.m. He will read from and discuss his crime novel series.

This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Go to the events page at peterboroughtownlibrary.org to register.

Peterborough Town Library is at 2 Concord St. in Peterborough.
