U.S. Sen. Maggie Hassan announced Dec. 15 that she has nominated 43 New Hampshire students to attend United States service academies: the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Joseph Hradecky of Peterborough was among the nominees to the U.S. Military Academy.

“It is an incredible honor to nominate young Granite Staters every year to attend our U.S. service academies,” Hassan stated. “I thank them for their willingness to serve our nation in uniform. I admire their dedication to our country and to upholding our fundamental values of freedom and democracy, and I look forward to seeing all that these students will do in the years to come.”
