In case you missed it, the United States is the largest crude oil producer in the world. The United States produces almost 12 million barrels a day, more than Saudi Arabia, Russia or Mexico.
American wells are producing a half-million more barrels a day than when President Joe Biden took office, and 2 million more barrels a day than during the pandemic recession. You can read the data at eia.gov.
Given the dangers posed by global warming, this is not necessarily good news, but here’s the point – when Republicans tell you that gas prices are high because of actions taken by Biden, they are trying to mislead you. Again. Don’t let them. And vote.
