When we were fighting the Kinder Morgan/Liberty Utilities pipeline, we told people that they were doing this as a transmission pipeline to Nova Scotia and fuel would be shipped to Asia and Europe.

We told people that if we allowed them to do this, we would have to compete in the global market for our own natural resources. We stopped our pipeline but other states were not as lucky. Their homes and land were destroyed so that these fossil fuel companies could do this.

This is wrong, and the fossil fuel companies are now laughing at all of us as they charge us 112 percent more while making billions in profits on our shoulders. Gov. Chris Sununu could have stopped this rise in costs to us but he is getting money from these companies and so are the GOP legislators in New Hampshire. He vetoed every bill regarding energy savings when energy bills were put forward by the Democrats in 2018 and 2019.

This recent Legislature does not care enough to fix this problem. They want you to think that this problem is all President Joe Biden and the federal administration’s fault. It is not. Sununu could have put a cap on this but he didn’t. He allowed it to go through. Please remember this when you look at your electric bills, and when you go to the polls to vote.
