Leo Kottke will perform on six- and 12-string guitar as part of the Peterborough Concert Series Saturday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. at the Peterborough Town House, 1 Grove St.

Kottke has been a performer for more than four decades, with no major marketing or air play but expanding his fanbase through word-of-mouth from his live performances and studio albums. He collaborated with Phish bassist Mike Gordon on “Clone” in 2002, and they followed with a recording in the Bahamas called “Sixty Six Steps,” produced by Kottke’s friend and Prince producer David Z.

Kottke has been awarded two Grammy nominations, a doctorate in music performance from the Peck School of Music at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Certificate of Significant Achievement in Not Playing the Trombone from the University of Texas at Brownsville with Texas Southmost College.

Tickets start at $45, and are available at the Toadstool Bookshop in Peterborough or online at peterboroughconcertseries.com.
