The ConVal football team had all they can handle with Stevens Friday night, but turned it around for a pair of second-half touchdowns on senior night.

The Cardinals scored 42 unanswered points to open the game, as the Cougars had trouble holding onto the ball, fumbling several kickoffs, throwing a pick and handing Stevens some free points.

In the second half, receiver Kai Reitnauer was able to haul in two touchdown receptions to bring the Cougars some cheer and improve the final score to 42-16.

Offensively, Bradley Brunelle threw for 242 yards and the two TDs; Aidan Learn caught four passes for 64 yards and Broden Frosch ran for 33 yards and made a 14-yard catch.

Everett Benham led the defense with 10 tackles; Caleb Cloutier had nine tackles, two for loss, and a forced fumble, which Reitnauer recovered.

ConVal (1-7) has one more game remaining, at Inter-Lakes-Moultonborough on Saturday.
