Harris Center for Conservation Education will present “Chipmunks, Squirrels, nd Mice, Oh My!” Saturday, Oct. 22, from 11 a.m. to noon at Beech Hill in Dublin.
Participants can scurry into the world of New Hampshire’s small mammals with Harris Center naturalist Ben King. The group will search stone walls and forest edges for squirrel nests, chipmunk dens, mice burrows and nibbled acorns, and discover how these furry little critters prepare for winter. People can learn to talk and eat like a chipmunk, hop like a squirrel and hide like a mouse.
The free program is geared for preschoolers and early elementary-age children and their families. Registration is required at harriscenter.org/events. The exact meeting location will be provided upon registration.
For information, contact King at king@harriscenter.org. The Beech Hill Dublin Lake Watershed Association is co-sponsoring the event.
