Jaffrey hosted an Oktoberfest at the American Legion on Saturday, as part of its 250th anniversary celebrations, which officially begin next year.
Oktoberfest is a two-week annual festival that originated in Munich, Germany, and ends the first Sunday in October. The festival originated in 1810, as a celebration of the marriage of the future King Louis I (then the crown prince of Bavaria) to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen.
