There’s a whole lot of hysteria going on when it comes to climate change. The simple truth is no one knows what effect carbon dioxide will have on climate 50 to 100 years from now. The number and interaction of atmospheric variables is mesmerizing.
One fact, though, is known; the cost of all this is more than many tens of trillions of dollars. President Barack Obama’s chief science officer during his presidential term, Steven Koonin, an eminent climate scientist, recently wrote a book entitled “Unsettled,” in reference to Obama’s often-stated quip that the science is settled.
Another renowned climate scientist, Bjorn Lomborg, revealed that by using the standard United Nations climate model, if the entire United States went carbon-neutral tomorrow, the reduction in world temperatures by the end of this century would be a whopping one-third of one degree Fahrenheit. The risk/reward of this entire Green New Deal is off-the-charts negative. You have to be a religious fanatic to continue on this path, or very gullible.
