On Tuesday, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m., Jaffrey Public Library, 38 Main St., will host “How the Courts Work” with New Hampshire Chief Justice Gordon MacDonald.
MacDonald will provide an in-person presentation at the library about how the judiciary works, its relation to the other branches of government, its role in democracy and its importance in preserving the rule of law. As former attorney general, he will also share information about that role with the executive branch. He welcomes questions from the public, during and following the presentation.
