Barrett Hill Farm in Mason hosted a Rapidan Civil War reenactment Oct. 1 and 2 with support from the 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment, the Liberty Greys and the New England Brigade.
The reenactment commemorated when the Second Corps of Gen. Robert E. Lee’s army led a 17-day excursion along the Rapidan River in Virginia in an effort to prevent Union troops from advancing further into the South.
