State Rep. Peter Leishman, who is on the House Finance Committee, needs to be re-elected in House Hillsborough County District 33 to keep working hard for us in Concord. Leishman has been in office for 11 terms, equaling 22 years. He is dedicated, thoughtful and considers all sides of issues. Yes, we need some young people in office, but not at the expense of losing someone as strong and resourceful as Leishman. He is a small-business owner, owning the railroad stationed in Wilton to Milford. Leishman is still young in the mass of 400 representatives.

If you think Leishman has been in office a long time, look at Rep. John Hunt of Rindge, who has been there for 36 years. That is a lifetime of work, but that is another town and their voters need to decide if they should have a change.

Jonah Wheeler is a very young man and we have had some young fellows elected to be state representatives. Wheeler is the education justice organizer with Heal Together, working on social issues, which are tied to economics, housing, education and other opportunities. He has worked on these issues for several years before his current position.

Let’s elect Peter Leishman to continue his work and Jonah Wheeler to move along on his journey to support each of us in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. The very-experienced Leishman and surprising experience of  Wheeler are what we need in Concord.
