Jeanne Dietsch’s 5,000 words or so on the Republican coup currently taking place was interesting, and while on the surface appeared to target Lionheart, seemed to me much more of an attack on Republicans in general. Frankly, you could replace the “Koch brothers” with George Soros, change the influence-targeting to electing politically active district attorneys and the media (“He who controls the media controls the mind.” – Jim Morrison) and begin weaving an equally damning attack on Democrats as well.

That we’ve come to this point as a society is ridiculous. Both sides are to blame. The “silent majority” no longer exists. “If you’re not with me, you’re against me” is the prevailing mindset. Everyone is outraged at something, and no one is willing to take any responsibility for their own actions. I have a T-shirt that reads on the back “Be the person your dog thinks you are.” Maybe that seems kind of dumb, but I’ve referred back to it often enough for myself that I recognize the simple wisdom it imparts. I do my best to live up to it.

Find your own simple message, or use the one above, and practice it every day. This bull going around now is going to kill us off as a society, and as a country.
