Union Congregational Church, 33 Concord Road in Peterborough, will present a “Night of Magic & Illusion” Friday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m.
The Rev. Robert Fellows of Peterborough who has worked as a professional stage magician, will perform tricks during the free show, including sawing a person in half. Fellows is retired from his 10-year ministry at Community Congregational Church in Greenland, and is providing pastoral coverage at the church this summer while the Rev. Robert Marrone is taking a three-month sabbatical.
After Marrone wrote a grant proposal, Union Congregational Church received nearly $50,000 from the Eli Lilly Foundation for activities that are open to the public.
