Peterborough’s First Friday event to promote local businesses is Friday, Aug. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. in downtown Peterborough.
People can stroll around and discover the shops, restaurants and galleries within walking distance. Merchants this month include a new location for The Apothecary in Depot Square, where people will receive a free gift with every purchase on First Friday.
Also in a new location is the Greater Keene & Peterborough Chamber at 45 Main St. People can visit the new offices and find a selection of flyers, new conference room and reception area.
Music in Depot Park will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. featuring a performance by Paul Klemperer Band. Klemperer has performed in Peterborough for 10 years on his saxophone.
European Esthetics is Depot Square is featuring a 30th anniversary open house. Owner Ellen Smith invites people to join her and her team celebrating this milestone with free refreshments and new lotions and personal products.
At Peterborough Town Hall, meet Town Planning Danica Melone and learn about the Downtown Visioning Project.
Participants can also meet new owners Kyle Murphy and Heather Vaillancourt of Vital Provisions, which serves organic juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, soups, salads, sandwiches and soups. A full menu is available.
