On Sunday, July 24, at 4 p.m., The Park Theatre will present the 1964 Ukrainian film “Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors” as a fundraiser for the people of Ukraine.
The film, directed by Sergei Parajanov, is an hour and 37 minutes with English subtitles. After the film, IlonaKwiecien will give an update on her efforts in Poland to help Ukrainian refugees find temporary and permanent shelter, as well as clothing, food and more. She returned from her second trip to Poland July 5. After her talk, the Rev. Stephen G. Miller of First Church will provide music.
Tickets are $15. The Park Theatre will donate 100 percent of ticket revenue to the First Church in Jaffrey Ukraine campaign. Separate donations will also be taken at the event. Advance tickets are available at theparktheatre.org or by calling the box office at 603-532-8888.
