Her longtime musical collaborator, Jane Orzechowski, is a 2019 recipient of the Governor’s Arts Award and is best known for her work with Old New England and the Sugar River Band. Susie Burke is on guitar. Kent Allyn. a mainstay of The Ben Baldwin Big Band, rounds out the Elmwood Station Band with his bass and piano.

The band came into existence while recording Bauhan ’s latest album, “Elmwood Station.” Being a train enthusiast, she named her album for the former station on the east side of Hancock. The cover of the album is a linocut by Hancock artist Kim Cunningham.

“Elmwood Station” includes traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, Shetland, England, French Canada, Sweden and New England, as well as original compositions intended to capture the spirit of Celtic music, and a tune or two by the late Bob McQuillen, aka Mr. Mac.
