Peterborough Folk presents Ellis Paul Saturday, June, 11, at 7 p.m. at Bass Hall at Monadnock Center

Doors open at 6:30 p.m, and tickets are $30 the day of the show.

Paul has recorded 19 albums. He has received 15 Boston Music Awards and been included in several movie soundtracks, commercials and television shows. He has become a staple at the Newport Folk Festival, played Carnegie Hall and performed at venues from Alaska to Miami, Paris and London. His travels have been featured in “3000 Miles,” which is part concert film, part documentary and part instructional video.

Paul has also released a pair of children’s albums, earning him honors from the Parents’ Choice Foundation for both. “The Hero In You,” from 2014, has been turned into a picture book, detailing the lives of great American heroes, which earned him an honorary doctor of humane letters degree from the University of Maine. He turned it into an educational program which educates the minds of children on America’s important influencers. He sings about heroes such as Thomas Edison, Rosa Parks, Woody Guthrie, Rachel Carson and Jackie Robinson to encourage children to find the hero in themselves.
