I am writing to express my support of Articles 14 and 15 in the Peterborough Town Meeting warrant for fiscal 2023. Approval of these articles on May 11 is necessary to maintain and thrive as an exemplary emergency medical services (EMS) and fire department for the citizens of Peterborough and the Monadnock Region.
As a critical care paramedic with Peterborough Fire & Rescue, I am certain this funding will directly improve the quality of life for all on-duty members of the department. Some of the impacts these articles will have include access to high-fidelity training, greater physical and spiritual well-being due to improved living conditions and optimized crew resource management for EMS personnel operating on minimal rest. These improvements will undoubtedly facilitate Peterborough Fire & Rescue personnel in upholding the highest standard of care and safety for all.
