A Peterborough motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing Friday night.

Dublin Police Chief Timothy Suokko said Officer Brandon Blair was running a radar patrol on Route 101 near the Peterborough town line at approximately 9:45 p.m. when a motorcycle heading east passed in excess of 100 mph.

According to Suokko, Blair began a chase, and during the chase, the driver of the motorcycle turned left onto Union Street in Peterborough, crashed and hit a guardrail. Suokko said the driver, identified as 25-year-old Jesse LeBlanc of Peterborough,ย was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough before being flown to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, where he is in stable condition with several serious injuries.

Police continue to investigate the crash. Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard said his department will conduct the accident investigation.
