With increasing interest in genealogy and local history, the New Ipswich Historical Society is hosting a four-part virtual series to sharpen sleuthing skills and efficiency.
Each session is led by Erin Moulton, who has more than 12 years of experience as a reference librarian and genealogist, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Emerson College, an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a certificate in genealogical research from Boston University.
The first of these four one-hour sessions, “History and Mystery: A Genealogy Starter Guide,” takes place at 7 p.m. March 30, and will introduce methods for research and planning that will help participants engage more productively in their ancestral pursuits. A question-and-answer session will follow. Interested individuals may register by clicking on the registration link under “Programs” on the New Ipswich Historical Society’s website, newipswichhistoricalsociety.org.
Additional sessions are scheduled for April 27, May 11 and June 1. Brief descriptions of all sessions, as well as registration links, are posted on the NIHS webpage.
