Starting Feb. 19, Bernie and Louise Watson will perform Saturday nights from 5 to 7 p.m. in The Park Theatre’s lounge beside the box office at the front of the new performing arts center.
There is no admission fee. The lounge has a bar featuring regional, craft, domestic and foreign beers and a selection of wines. Fresh popcorn and other treats are also available for purchase.
Among other locations, the Watsons have performed at the Monadnock Inn, Sunflowers Cafe and Rivermead. They have also supported The Park Theatre with their music at events for more than a decade.
They are known for playing standards, including Rodgers and Hart, Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer, George Gershwin and Cole Porter, and their trademark performing attire is a tuxedo and gown.
The lounge will open at 4 p.m. Feb. 19, and the music begins at 5 p.m. The Park Theatre is located at 19 Main St. in downtown Jaffrey. For information, go to theparktheatre.org or call the box office at 603-532-8888.
