Producing the Jaffrey-Rindge “Celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.” event entailed many new challenges this year, and the Jaffrey-Rindge Committee has many people to thank for making it a success. Pivoting within the space of about a week from a live in-person to an attempted hybrid live/livestream then a partly recorded, partly livestream event could not have been accomplished without the flexibility and dedication of participants the Rev. Mark Koyama, Jaffrey-Rindge elementary school choruses, keynote speaker James Waller and the Hutchinson Family Ensemble.
Thank you to The Park Theatre for supporting our rehearsals and recording and to CEO Steve Jackson for producing and managing a professional and seamless online presentation. We thank Waller for his thoughtful and thought-provoking commentary on hope for healing our deeply divided society. We are grateful to businesses Savron Graphics and John Sepe Social Media for publicity and outreach, to our sponsors The Community Center of Jaffrey and Franklin Pierce University and to The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s Putnam Foundation and GFA Federal Credit Union for providing funding for the program. It truly takes a community, and we are most fortunate to have a beloved one. We welcome new members. Please write to jaffreyrindgemlk@gmail.com.
