On Tuesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. Katherine Gekas will offer an herbal remedy class in the South Room of the Dublin Community Center at 1123 Main St. in Dublin.
She will discuss the medicinal benefits of pine trees growing around us, and participants will make a pine body butter for the winter months. Each participant will go home with a handout that includes a recipe and resources for making the butter at home, and also a little jar of the pine body butter made in class.
The class is limited to 12 people, socially distanced and wearing masks. The fee will be sliding scale, as people can pay what they like between $5 and $40. Gekas has been teaching community-level classes on how to stay healthy with herbs for more than 10 years. To sign up or for information, send email to katherinegekas2@gmail.com.
