Ingalls Memorial Library, located at 203 Main Street in Rindge, is hosting three local author and poet events to promote shopping locally this holiday season.
The idea was hatched when library assistant Catherine (Kate) Zebrowski published her second novel. Director Donna Straitiff wanted to give Zebrowski the opportunity to offer her book to the residents of Rindge and other surrounding towns, which led to a discussion of inviting other authors and poets.
The events will take place on Saturdays, Dec. 4, 11 and 18 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Each participant will have a table, and the tables will be spread throughout the library to give shoppers the opportunity to browse and speak with the authors/poets. There will be tables on both floors of the library.
The library asks that visitors to the events respect the authors’ and poets’ wishes and wear masks when meeting authors who are wearing masks.
On Dec. 4, the library welcomes Zebrowski, M. Susan Patterson, ZoëWroten-Heinzmann, Matt Landry, Bill Chatfield, S. M. Stevens, Mimi Bull and Tory McCagg.
Zebrowski, Landry, Chatfield, Eric Poor, Linda SalvatoBussiere, Brian D. Campbell, Bull, McCagg and G. Sherman Morrison will be at the library Dec. 11.
On Dec. 18, people can meet Zebrowski, Sharon Healy-Yang, Wroten-Heinzmann, Landry, Chatfield, Christopher J. DiLoreto, Dan Szczesny and M. Allyson Szabo.
