The newly-minted members of Temple’s Zoning Board of Adjustment met Thursday to briefly discuss details of the Stepping Stones exception case, before deciding that a hearing of the case will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31.
Isabella “Boo” Martin, the owner of Stepping Stones Event and Farm Center, was present and told the board that she intended to give them any information they asked for in the intervening weeks.
“You tell us what you need and I will do my level best,” Martin said.
This new information will include a survey of the land that Martin will provide to the ZBA.
Deb Harling, acting chair of the ZBA, said that the weeks before the hearing will allow the board time to finish electing members of the board, as there is still an empty seat on the ZBA and one of the current members, Bill Ezell, must recuse himself from this particular case.
Harling also said that she hopes the time between now and the hearing will give the new ZBA members time to finish familiarizing themselves with the case, since all members are new to the board and to the case itself.
The hearing is set for 6 p.m. on Aug. 31 at the Temple Town Hall.
