Students at Greenfield Elementary School fundraised $120 during the 2020 Pizza Pumpkin Palooza.
The event is held to help celebrate and engage students in reading, while also helping to raise money to benefit Greenfield Elementary School students, and was first held last year.
Families were able to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of nine pumpkins created by students. The pumpkin decorations were based on books chosen by the class, such as โHorton Hears a Whoโ by Dr. Seuss, โOwl at Homeโ by Arnold Lobel and โA Bad Case of Stripesโ by David Shannon.
Additionally, families can buy pizza kits from Little Caesars as part of the fundraiser. To order a kit, which will be available until Nov. 14, by visiting https://fundraising.littlecaesars.com/login/join-fundraiser/1812180d-70ba-4fa2-b46e-9bc6b9bd5e38
โThis is a fun way for students to get excited about reading and a favorite event for everyone this time of year,โ Principal Colleen Roy said. โThank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets or kits to help support our young learners.โ
Proceeds will benefit the GES Parent Teacher Organization.
