Customers of Consolidated Communications in multiple towns across the Monadnock region are reporting lingering internet outages on Friday, which representatives said was caused by equipment damage.
When contacted Friday morning, Consolidated Communications representative Shannon Sullivan responded in an email that repairs were underway to repair connections that have been out since early Thursday evening.
โLast evening, our fiber was cut by a contractor which caused an interruption to Internet services for some customers in the Monadnock Region,โ Sullivan wrote.ย โOur team is working diligently to splice and repair the fiber and services are currently being restored at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience.โ
Residents in Jaffrey, Rindge, Greenville, New Ipswich and Peterborough reported outages.
