Letter: Vote for Temple historical museum appreciated

To the editor:

The Town of Temple has voted in favor of a Historical Society of Temple museum on townland, subject to several future approvals. The Society deeply appreciates this vote at Town Meeting and the many statements of support for the concept of a museum.

For many years, our artifacts and documents from Temple’s history were stored here and there around town. A few years ago, they were moved to a storage unit in Milford. After we build a museum, they will be here in Temple, available for exhibit and research.

The Society is now starting work on a plan for size, appearance, and location of the museum. When complete, the plan will brought back to the Town for approval.
