Joan Joseph won the election for Hancock Town Clerk against incumbent Carolyn Boland with 222 votes to Boland’s 175.
Boland has served as Town Clerk for three years. Joseph served as Town Clerk for seven years before resigning in 2016 and then pleaded guilty about a month later to a violation of the Driver Privacy Act.
Town Clerk was the only contested race in town. Other winners of uncontested races include:
■Select Board: Jeffrey Brown, 379 votes
■Common Commission: Mary Seebart,394 votes
■Library Trustee: Alison Rossiter, 391 votes
■Moderator: Richard Haskins, 379 votes
■Trustee of the Trust Funds: David Huntington, 386 votes
■Supervisor of the Checklist: Annemarie Powers Algozzine, 388 votes
■Water Commissioner: Jeffery Wilder, 402 votes
Town treasurer is still undecided as the vote was split between several write-ins.
