To the editor:
The Board of Directors at the Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter would like to think C&S Wholesale Grocers for a recent grant to offset fuel and electricity costs at the Shelter.
These funds, earmarked for our operating costs, are particularly welcome during the long winter season.
The mission of MATS, which was founded nearly 30 years ago, is to provide transitional housing, support and referral services to people who are homeless; to educate our community on issues of homelessness; and to advocate for solutions.
