To the editor:

The 2020 Rindge town warrant articles 13 and 14 are citizen petition articles. These articles are directed at controlling the growth in our town. Article 13 deals with reinstating impact fees. Rindge had impact fees in place from 2003 – 2017. Article 14 is asking to reinstate the growth management ordinance. Our town had this ordinance in place from 2004 – 2010. The planning board did not support these articles due to the articles being improperly written. Should they pass they are not enforceable.

Petitioners are concerned with the current growth in our community. We are seeking controls to keep growth in line with our Master Plan.  A YES vote on these articles will send a message to our planning board stating that the public is concerned about growth and the impact it is having on our town. Please vote YES on articles 13 and 14.
