(one three-year term)
My name is Carol E. Donovan and I am running for Rindge Tax Collector.
I have been Tax Collector since 1993.
The issue at hand is the Town is in the process of transferring data to a new Tax Company. This conversion has already been in the works. The new company should be printing our first half tax bills at end of May. However the Lien process will be done in the prior company also in May.
This is why I am running again to maintain continuity , having gone through 2 conversions in the past.
I would appreciate your vote.
Years living in town: 9 years and Graduated from Conant High School
Other qualifications: As a long time Rindge resident I would find it an honor to aid my town. As the owner of Carols Ice Cream, I am a small business owner, employing and training the members of our community on exceptional customer service. My past has included managing the finances of several companies, including local businesses, and several positions from my time living in Arizona. Each of these positions has given me different skills such as: customer service, HR management, payroll, project management, financial management, software training, and quality control. Overall, all of these positions have given me the skills that will be beneficial to the position of Tax Collector. In addition, last year I took the time to sit down with senior board member at NH DRA in Concord to learn in depth state tax RSAโs concerning Current Use Tax, correct town tax warrant paperwork and Land Use Change Tax.
What are two issues you think are important and how would you address them?:One issue would be making it easier to pay for your taxes online, multiple towns in the area offer this service. This convenience would make it easier for our community to be able to do this during their own work or evening hours, and help alleviate any congestion and wait time in the office.
Also, to keep up to date with State of NH current RSAโS, and work closely with the assessors.
