To the editor:

I woke up early on this cold and gray morning headed outside to see the storm that was forming.

The GOP has not chosen right over power It left a taste in my mouth both bitter and sour. But as I sat in despair the sun cast a ray reminded me that it was a new day. We still have a chance to recover our nation. We must become active to vent our frustration Trumpers drank Kool-Aid and became a big cult. An irrational mob the final result.

We must rise up to defeat them with numbers Igniting the majority still stuck in their slumbers. So it is we must push our friends and neighbors To cast off their apathy and join in our labors For if we want our democracy to survive And if we want to keep our planet alive.

The time is now, the future at hand. We have just one chance to save our great land. So from this day forth and through next November stand up, demonstrate, and never surrender. No great change has happened not sought by the crowd of average Americans being rowdy and loud Republicans will push back with ever spiraling lies Let’s work to see their body politic covered with flies.
