A motorist hit a deer on Route 101 near the Peterborough town line in Dublin this morning. 

Police Chief Timothy Suokko said that Staci Ballou, 29, of Swanzey was driving a Subaru Impreza when it collided with a deer at 7 a.m. ​​​​​​ Ballou was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough to be checked. Suokko said she sustained “minor bumps and bruises.” 

The vehicle was towed from the scene with heavy front end damage and a deployed airbag.
