To the editor:
I am writing in response to the recent string of letters to the editor debating Corky Messner’s fitness as a U.S. Senate candidate, based on his assertion that “People have nothing to do with Climate Change.”
I am not someone who thinks that the world is going to end in the next 10 years, but I found the idea that any thinking person would actually say this unbelievable. Last night during his campaign stop in Peterborough, I heard Corky say the words with my own ears!
This man is a Colorado guy with few ties to NH except a vacation home in the lakes region, who openly admits he is a hard worker who is not very bright, and appears to be motivated by a quest for power. I think we could use a change from Jeanne Shaheen in the U.S. Senate, but anyone who is foolish enough to imply that pollution happens by itself does not deserve anyone’s vote.
The other two candidates, Don Buldoc and Bill O’Brien, truly care about us and are far more intelligent and sophisticated. I plan to vote for Bolduc, but O’Brien is also very worthy and both of them provide a far better alternative than Corky.
