Join the Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce for the last Business After Hours of the year on Thursday, Dec. 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Dogs On Depot, 20 Depot Square, Peterborough.
Pets are invited to attend, so it will be one of the most interesting Business After Hours yet.
Megan Suokko has been in the animal care industry since the year 2000. Her experience is broad and she started while still in college running an animal hospital’s boarding facility for three years. In 2006, she received a Master’s Degree in Professional Communication from Clark University and began her first pet grooming business – the Woof Wagon.
The Woof Wagon is a full-service mobile grooming unit that travels to Suokko’s furry clients. The 26-foot RV comes to your driveway or workplace and your dog is groomed in the comfort of their own surroundings. The RV has a tub, grooming table, heat, A/C and hot water. She originally started with a mobile business as she felt it was best for the pet and their owner. With a one-on-one salon every pet could feel comfortable and they didn’t have to be put in the car to travel.
In April, Suokko decided to expand the Woof Wagon’s reach and open a flagship store in Peterborough. Dogs on Depot has combined her love of 1:1 ratio grooming with lots of Dogs On Depot’s favorite retail products.
