To the editor:
My first thoughts early this Friday morning after Thanks Giving Day are appreciation of family and friends and the pleasure of being together with them, gathered from near and far for the traditional feast. Second are what and how to give back for our reasonably good health and fortune. Our answer to this is to send checks as charitable gifts to CVCSF (short for ConVal Community Scholarship Foundation Dollars for Scholars), P.O. Box 372, Peterborough NH 03458 and encourage others to do the same. Each year CVCSF awards scholarships to a small number of ConVal High School graduates chosen on the basis of need and perceived likelihood of success in the career and education paths they choose. Institutions to which some have graduated range from New Hampshire community Colleges to Stanford University.
