To the editor:
On behalf of the NH Tackles Hunger food drive campaign, we wish to express our gratitude and thanks to the ConVal Community for the immense kindness your contributions have shown to local families in need.
As we approach Thanksgiving, we are grateful for every dollar donated and every single canned good brought into the ConVal schools and sporting events this past October. The total contribution made to the local Peterborough Food Pantry was 4,661 pounds of food and $1,766.25 in cash and gift cards. It has been wonderful to collaborate with every elementary school, both middle schools, the high school and the SAU.
The administration on every level supported this initiative. With encouragement from the principal and student leadership at the high school, every single homeroom, the Band and all the sports teams participated.
Thank you to the fans from the local community who donated at our sporting events and at the Shaw’s Food Drive.
We look forward to a continued partnership in support of the Peterborough Food Bank, its volunteers and the community it serves. With appreciation, Katherine Heck and ConVal Cougars Football Boosters Tina Kriebel and Friends of ConVal Athletics NH Tackles Hunger Coordinators.
