A driver who was airlifted after his truck drifted off Route 101 in and into a tree Sunday afternoon Peterborough died of his injuries on Wednesday night.
Police Chief Scott Guinard said Daniel Murphy, 48, of Gilsum incurred multiple internal injuries when his 2014 Dodge Ram pickup went off Route 101 near Bass Road, and was pronounced dead at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.
There is a Gofundme page set up for the family of Murphy, who was a paramedic.
“This is a difficult time for our entire AMR NH family, and we will need to come together to get one another through it,” said a post from the AMR Nashua Facebook page. “At this time our thoughts and prayers are with Dan’s wife, AMR Paramedic Jenn Murphy, and their 4 children. She has asked me to convey her deep appreciation to everyone who has been so thoughtful and kind during this time.”
Guinard said that police are still investigating the cause of the accident, but he said that speed and alcohol were not factors.
