A host of local soccer players were selected to the New Hampshire Soccer Coaches’ Assocation All-State teams at last week’s coaches’ meeting.
Second-year Mascenic boys’ soccer coach Andy Helliesen was selected as Division III coach of the year, and every local team was represented with at least one player.
In Division II, ConVal’s Mather Kipka, Zach Kriebel, Trevor Faber, August Marshall and Colby Knight made the boys’ First Team, with teammate Finn Wegmueller on Second Team. ConVal’s Kevin Morneault was honored as JV Coach of the Year.
Two of the Cougar girls were also honored. ConVal’s Nikki Bell made DII Second Team, and Ayla Laro made Honorable Mention.
Helliesen’s Coach of the Year pick in Division III was accompanied by three All-State player honors. Noah Caballero and Zack Barthel made First Team, and Nate Wilkins made Second Team.
Also in DIII, Ethan Vitello of Conant was selected for the Honorable Mention team.
For the Conant girls, both Jillian Patria and Bailey Brewer were named to the Honorable Mention team.
In Division IV, Wilton-Lyndeborough’s Jack Schwab made boys’ Second Team and Sam Townsend and Troy Brennan received Honorable Mention honors.
For the girls, WLC’s Elisabeth Jacob made Second Team, and Sophia Sistachs and Avery Krug made Honorable Mention.
