To the editor:

The Friends of the Greenfield Community Meetinghouse would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to our whole community for the stunning success of Greenfield’s first Oktoberfest!

Despite long lines, the only feedback we heard was “Thank you so much for doing this!” We are grateful for everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, contributed food, volunteered, and donated their time or funds–our many volunteers and partners are too numerous to mention here!

Special thanks to our major sponsors: Post and Beam Brewery, Harvester Market, Monadnock Tent Rental, Sheldon Pennoyer Architects, and ASPE for making the event possible, and to our amazing police chief Brian Giammarino. Thanks also to: the Greenfield PTO, the Greenfield Historical Society, the Greenfield Trails Club, the Greenfield Sportsman’s Club, the Barbara C. Harris Center, Fiddleheads, Fred Simmons & Leslie Vogel, Sara Timmons, Tim Schloemer, Jim Fletcher, Jessica Weeks, Katherine and Andrew Heck, Marcus Dube, Landon Dube, Gary Russell, Patrick Mayer, Steve Fox, Kim Graham, and the entire Hannings family and for all their help.

Finally, thanks to the Ledger-Transcript for all your support!

Sincerely,

Sheldon Pennoyer, Ray Cilley, Kathy Seigars, Carele Mayer, Lenny Cornwell, Jesseca Timmons, Adele Hale, Linda Dodge, Bob Marshall and Karen Russell
