To the editor:
I heard from a Democrat the other day that “a Republican” is trying to get rid of the Planning Board. The issue, of course, is Zoning Amendment 15, and I was very happy to see the article by the Select Board in the October 3 issue of this wonderful newspaper, carefully and thoroughly explaining the various problems and the approach to their solution. I was especially heartened by Bill Taylor’s follow-up, and would suggest that “the Republican” in question, whoever he is, read it.
Get rid of the Planning Board? Oh, that’s a good idea — we could get rid of the Zoning Board, the Select Board, the Conservation Commission, the Town Administrator and all those other tyrants who make us do what we don’t want to do, and in their place appoint a Trump-like dictator to take care of everything for us.
