Terrapin Glassblowing Studio is pleased to have Ben Conant as its Featured Artist for the month of November. His photography will be on display and available for purchase at the studio during open hours, Wednesday through Sunday 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.ย
Conant is a professional photographer from Peterborough, capturing landscapes, sports, weddings, breaking news, family photos, and any fleeting moments of beauty the region has to offer. He has been editor of the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript for the past six years and has lived in Peterborough since 1992, with a few excursions.
Conant plans to display canvas prints of photographs from a trip to Iceland, where he saw the Northern Lights dance over a church at the end of the world and stood at the base of waterfalls 100 feet high. Heโll also have a 2020 calendar of Monadnock region scenes for sale.
Sarah Gingrasย is Terrapinโsย Maker of the Month for November. Gingras is a multi-disciplinary artist specializing in graphic design, illustration, and digital fabrication. She is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and currently lives in Peterborough. Under the name Messy Threads Design, she offers a distinctive line of laser cut artwork, jewelry, and novelties that she prints and assembles at her studio at MAxT Makerspace. The majority of her work is made from wood but she often incorporates textiles and handmade jewelry findings. Her illustration style is very graphic in nature and features imagery inspired by nature, art deco, and traditional geometric motifs. Gingrasโs crafts will be for sale at the studio during our open hours.
