PheasantWood’s first ever Talent Showcase will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m.

Do you have a toddler who loves to dress up as a princess and sing “Let It Go” or a 5-year-old learning to do card tricks or maybe a budding animal trainer who has taught the family dog how to do the rhumba? How about a tap dancer or ballerina always looking for an audience? Or maybe it’s you … you know you’ve got a gift for stand-up comedy but you’ve never been given an opportunity to perform for an audience.

The Talent Showcase will give local performers and staff members a chance to shine. Space is limited and will likely feature a maximum of 7 or 8 acts per show. Any family-friendly act will be considered.

This is not a competition and there are no prizes but entertaining the facility’s very appreciative audience of residents will prove to be exceptionally rewarding. The showcase will also give performers an opportunity to hone their skills and gain confidence.

The hope is to continue these events on a monthly basis.
