The Franklin Pierce University women’s tennis team swept the visiting Plymouth State Panthers on Thursday afternoon.
An afternoon rain meant outdoor play was impossible; inside the bubble, the Ravens won all three doubles matches and all six singles to dispatch the visitors with ease.
With the win, Franklin Pierce improves to 4-2, while Plymouth State falls to 6-3.
In doubles, the team of graduate student Himani Mor and freshman Liria Loria won 6-0; freshmen Jazmin Flood and Laura Alvarez Tello won 6-3, and seniors Brigid Washburn and Sarah Rich won 6-1.
In singles, Mor (6-0, 6-0), Loria (6-1, 6-1), Flood (6-4, 6-2), Washburn (6-2, 6-3), freshman Jillian Pagliuca (7-6, 6-4) and Rich (7-6, 3-6, 10-6) were all victorious.
The Ravens return to the court on Saturday, Sept. 28, when they travel to Southern New Hampshire at 1 p.m. in Manchester.
