Aging. We all do it — it’s how we do it that really matters.

We at the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript first held our Vital Signs event, “Planning Tools for Tomorrow: Aging on Your Terms,” in 2015. It was in response to our many readers who wanted information, resources and guidance on the many challenges we face as we age.

How can you stay in your home as you age?

What do you need to know about wills, trusts and estate planning?

Can you delay the onset of dementia and how do you care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s, dementia or memory loss?

Next month we are bringing back the event, now called NH Active Aging, in a partnership with the Concord Monitor.

NH Active Aging Peterborough is planned to take place at the Hilltop Golf Course from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 24. The Concord Monitor is holding its event at the Holiday Inn in Concord on Oct. 22.

Here’s the best part, it’s free. Come and hear from professionals on estate planning and the financial issues seniors face as well as from experts on the latest in health, fitness and nutrition to stay healthy into the golden years.

You can come for the day, or do a quick walkthrough (our sponsors bring goodies) or drop in for one of our short seminars. We are mixing it up this year with short talks along with longer more in-depth ones, demonstrations and exhibits.

Don’t miss out on this great free event, whether you are facing these challenges as you age yourself or if you are caring for a loved one as they age.
